A’Leeyah Ponder (the daughter of LaTonya P. Jones) is a Vanderbilt Divinity School Student hailing from Austell, Georgia. Before her Theological education, she spent 6 years training and serving the community as a multimedia journalist. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from The University of Alabama’s College of Communications and Information Sciences (C&IS). She engages her passions for storytelling, advocacy, and community development by collaborating with growing businesses and nonprofit owners to expand their brand identity. As a brand owner of Black Ponder Puffs [motivational brand], podcaster [The Fruitful Place Podcast], and visual artist, A’Leeyah is always seeking to find a way to bring people’s visions to life through creative mediums.
